Urgent Opening for Windows Server Admin with TOP IT MNC (Chennai/Hyderabad)
Job Description :
• At least 8 years of working experience on Windows platforms
• Support Windows 2003/2008/2012 servers, Support Operating Systems, Apply patches, install software, manage disk drives, troubleshoot performance issues, Troubleshoot alerts from monitoring system for system error conditions (system down, disk full, CPU busy, memory full etc.) Servicing tickets submitted by customers
• Create, Schedule, Analyze, Implement Change Control for Windows Platforms - Includes all OS upgrades, OS patches and OS security CIRTs
• Provide Global Change support/scheduling for Server, DB, SAN, Security systems. Global Builds and Decommissions for Windows servers . includes Physical and Virtual Server Builds and Decommissions. Windows Site management . includes creating of IIS sites, decommission of sites, network related dependencies for commissioning of sites, etc.
• Customer interface experience (managing expectations; negotiating compromise solutions)
• Experience defining technical standards for an organization
• In-depth experience with at least 2 Volume Managers (HP LVM, IBM LVM, SUSE LVM, Sun SDS)
• In-depth troubleshooting of Windows operating systems
• Automating tasks using a scripting language
• Analyzing performance issues
• Data Center experience (change control; ticketing systems; coordinating with other support groups)
