Job Description:

Premier Mission Critical is one of our fastest growing offering with over 9 customers located across India. To ensure the best possible support experience we have a Dedicated Team Unit in India who deliver all the proactive assessments, education and even reactive support.
As the customer base has been growing rapidly, I'm excited to announce additional roles dedicated to India. The DTU is a virtual team so we can be flexible with the location with options for the right candidate to be based out of Gurgaon, Mumbai and Bangalore. As the DTU is focused on 'solutions' we are looking for great candidates
Troubleshooting at this level is not scripted. You will be designing and driving the discovery and potentially unique solution for each of your customer's situations as part of the DTU. As part of a DTU many resources are at your disposal, including the other CTS engineers and local engineers to be your eyes and ears onsite. The product group and the years of tenured engineers around you are all available to enable your determination of the course of solution. In this professional role, your contribution and overall impact is self-directed and the opportunities are rich.

During the course of troubleshooting, you may uncover software defects have opportunities to improve the customer experience and the chance to influence the current and future design of the product by working directly with the product team. There are also opportunities to create IP and internal training and content for new product releases. A DTU member operates in a continuous learning environment and you will develop ever increasing depth skills as a subject matter expert as well as get experience across various Microsoft solutions. You will become the world's best in your area of expertise and a Trusted advisor to your customers.

This position will require you to work a rotational on-call schedule. You will also have the opportunity for some occasional domestic and or international travel.




Key Responsibilities:

Support corporate customers via telephone, email, and occasionally in person regarding finding solutions for technically complex problems identified in a customer's environment or in Microsoft software products
Contribute to a solution wide proactive plan that helps your customers solution get healthy and stay healthy
Be part of a team and develop your skills as you solve complex technical issues with access to both broad and in-depth product knowledge.
Manage relationships with your customers and provide technical documentation for the troubleshooting steps in pursuit of the technical resolution
Report software bugs and be an advocate for product improvement using customer suggestions
Develop specialized expertise by supporting Microsoft technologies. Document your knowledge and share your experience as you contribute to the Knowledge Base.
Learn to use network capture as well as tools for debugging and root cause analysis
Author and deliver "in depth" technical training to other engineers
Be an early adopter of pre-released products and participate in product improvement feedback


Candidate Profile:

Candidates must have exceptional customer service, problem solving, technical writing, and communication skills, and the ability to work in a team environment. Must have sufficient technical depth to communicate with development and other internal organizations at a peer level as well as convey technical concepts to non-technical individuals. Must possess the ability to work with minimal supervision and operate as a self-contained business unit within the PFE team. Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organization, time management, project management and negotiation skills are essential.

Candidate should have the ability to acquire knowledge from a variety of sources regarding related Microsoft technologies. And also have the ability to effectively communicate with customer managers / executives on technical / business issues.


Educational Qualification and Experience:

The ideal candidate will have a B.E degree or equivalent. The candidate should have more than 5 years of product support experience or the equivalent in work experience. MCSE, MCTS, ITIL or other applicable advanced certification is strongly preferred.

Five or more year's industry experience with Microsoft in either CTS (SEE or EE) or Premier Field Engineering
*Candidate must have current and deep experience with implementing Internet / Intranet Solutions on the Microsoft platform. Prior knowledge and experience on .Net Framework, ASP.Net and scripting language is a must.
*In addition to this, knowledge in at least two of the following disciplines is required: MVC, LINQ, WCF, Workflow foundation, Windows Azure, VSTS / TFS, development with .NET languages, C#, ASP.Net, XML and scripting.
*Knowledge and exposure to SharePoint portal development and/or Biztalk is an additional advantage.
*Advanced domain knowledge in one or more vertical industry specially banking is also an asset.


Candidates must possess current passport or be able to obtain passport within 60 days of hire. This job would require you to travel and at times will require 24x7 availability.
