d. Skill set required:• As a database architect, you will be responsible for designing databases schema, developing DDL statements for developers as per guidance of Technical and Solution Architect.
• As a database architect you should have strong working experience on tuning of database, manage database servers, indexing of database based on need/ user hits.
• As a database architect, it will be your responsibility to inform about the database server(s) health to all required stakeholders, and in time of exigency should be able to take active measurements like table space swapping, tempspace optimization etc.
• As a database architect, you should be able to support Technical and Solution architect in designing database farms, setting up replication/mirroring strategy
• As a database architect you should have strong hands-on experience in Oracle and SQL Server database for current and previous versions.
• Database architect should be able to do sizing of Database Servers in accordance with Technical & Solution Architect and business at large.
• Plan and implement backup, archival and restore processes.
• Plan, Implement and enforce security practices for Database in accordance with Technical & Solution Architect.
• Should have good knowledge of Operating systems like UNIX, LINUX, RedHat, Windows
• Should have good knowledge of physical database design and how database acquires and use OS resources.
• Should have strong experience in migrating data from one version of DB to another higher version as well as different source and target schema.
• Provide technical support to development teams
