Job Description
Role - Solution Architect
Primary Skills (Must Have)
1. Independently lead application architecture and design responsibility to meet specific enterprise customer needs using the latest Microsoft technology stack listed below
a. DotNet Framework 3.0, 4.5
b. ASP.NET, MVC4 , HTML5, jQuery, Kendo UI / Telerik controls, Angular.js
c. WCF, Restful API (Json / XML)
d. Background processes / windows services
e. Hands on knowledge - Parallel processing, Multi-threaded design implementation
f. Strong on SQL Server DB design, programming & optimization - 2008, 2012
2. Architected at least 2 large development projects covering complete SDLC (initiation until project closure)
3. Experience of engineering practices such as code refactoring, design patterns, design driven development, continuous integration, building highly scalable applications, application security
4. Hands on experience on use of appropriate design patterns to meet specific implementation needs (functional & non-functional requirements)
5. Database design & programming specifically targeted to handle concurrent transactions and large data volumes
6. Hands on experience with implementation and deployment of cloud based solution
7. Hands on experience related to
a. Performance, Memory & SQL Profiler tools and optimization (application & database operations)
b. Application architecture & code review and recommend possible optimization
8. Hands on experience related to deployment and rolling out incremental updates (application binaries & database) from staging to production environment & roll-back activities.
9. Strong hands on knowledge required for release & branch management (preferably using TFS, VS 2012 / 2010) and complete application lifecycle management using Microsoft TFS or similar other tools
10. Demonstrate and present proposed design and implementation approach through structured technical specification and design document - strong documentation skills
11. Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
12. Good interpersonal and communication skills with ability to engage with senior stakeholders in IT
13. Experience of working directly with customer and various 3rd party vendors
14. Strong hands on experience with estimation and scoping technical requirements
15. Working knowledge of agile software development methodology
16. Proof of Concept (PoC) scoping and implementation experience
17. Service oriented architecture implementation knowledge / REST API experience would be an added advantage
18. Multi-tenant architecture implementation and deployment experience would be an added advantage
