	Job Description
	Job Responsibilities : UTC Climate, Control & Security (CCS), a subsidiary of United Technologies Corporation (NYSE:UTX), is seeking a Systems Engineering Tool Specialist within the Hyderabad Research & Development Center organization. This is a new, cross-functional role that will be responsible for deploying the IBM Jazz collaboration tool suite to product development teams. This is a global deployment across multiple product and business areas, including climate control, fire & security, elevator and intelligent building management systems product lines. This role will also develop strategies for applying and using the Jazz tools within new product development processes, and drive the architecture and evolution of the Jazz suite within the business. Specific responsibilities for this position will be: - Through pilot programs, leveraging external experts and internal workshops develop and document best practices for configuring and leveraging IBM Jazz tool capabilities in a model-based design environment - Deploy these best practices and project templates by leading new project teams in adopting the IBM Jazz tool suite through on-site deployment workshops - Develop a cadre of regional IBM Jazz administrators that will provide local project team support to specific geographical regions - Monitor tool performance and end user issues and work with IT infrastructure team, IBM support and 3rd party consultants to resolve - Identify tool capability gaps and maintain a tool roadmap that captures how the IBM Jazz collaboration tool suite and its integrations with 3rd party engineering tools will evolve through time - Be the advocate for the business needs and regularly communicate IBM Jazz status, business benefits achieved, challenges, risks or issues, and recommendations on the evolution of the tool suite to senior leadership Education : Master degree in Engineering, IT/MIS, DevOps or Business Analyst Experience/Qualifications : Required Technical Skills/Education: - Minimum 9-12 years of broad engineering or IT experiences - Highly proficient in mentoring, coaching and influencing teams without direct authority - Ability to quickly gain the confidence of project teams and troubleshoot tool or process issues you will be the IBM Jazz go to person and will be building a shared community of practice across the business  - 1 year of experience with process improvement for new product development exposure to multiple hardware/software development methodologies is beneficial - Ability to synthesize trend data and user feedback into concise, actionable plans and roadmaps that demonstrate enhanced business value - Experience working with and effectively communicating with a broad set of different internal and external stakeholders, including IT, engineering, and business leadership - 3 years experience in deploying complex tools at the enterprise/suite level - 2 years experience using or administrating at least one IBM or Rational product (DOORS NG, Rhapsody, RQM, RTC) Preferred Technical Skills/Education:  - Experience in model-based design or verification techniques - Experience using or administrating the IBM Jazz collaboration tool suite - Understanding of enterprise-level IT support practices - Experience interacting with IBMs Problem Management Report (PMR) system for reporting problems or accessing OEM bug fix help Additional Comments : The IBM Jazz collaboration tool deployment is a significant investment impacting product development practices across the business. This role will be the technical owner of the deployment, and will drive its adoption into development projects as well as champion its benefits to business leadership. This opportunity requires a combination of technical, interpersonal and leadership skills. Being a new and multi-faceted role, it requires someone who enjoys solving different challenges each day, working directly with end users as well as being their voice to senior leadership. The desire and drive to build up this community and capability will be a key success factor for the position. This position will require up to 40% travel. This position will be located in HITECH City, Hyderabad, India.
