Job Summary
Interactive Intelligence is looking for a Developer to help us build on a line of desktop applications for our unified enterprise communications platform which allows our clients to create customer engagement and real-time monitoring solutions for contact centers. The ideal candidate will be results-driven, self-motivated and a strong C# developer that can design and implement desktop applications and dependent services that are functional, intuitive, and elegant. These user interfaces will be designed using the C# language and the Microsoft .Net framework, WinForms, and WPF. The applications will communicate, via a C# API, with a highly scalable service implemented in the C# language.
Major Responsibilities/Activities
• Work with stakeholders to refine the requirements for new features with an emphasis on creating a great user experience.
• Work on a team employing agile strategies in order to meet delivery dates and other goals.
• Demonstrate an ability to be thorough and detail oriented in looking at all aspects of the solution including: localization, licensing, scalability, memory management, bandwidth, latency, automated testing, security and compliance.
• Design Desktop UIs that are innovative and intuitive
• Implement well designed and tested features
• Receive mockups and design documents and drive the development process to acceptance testing, showing a great deal of ownership of the project.
• Maintain existing applications, keeping up to date with the software issue backlog
• Understand & comply with PCI, HIPAA, Security and Privacy Laws.
• Adhere to Interactive Intelligence Code of Business Conduct and Ethics
Minimum Requirements
• Excellent communication skills
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and reasoning
• High degree of expertise in C#, Winforms, WPF, Linq and the TPL
• High degree of experience working and designing multithreaded applications
• Experience implementing applications using SOLID concepts and principles such as dependency injection
• Experience designing and implementing unit tests with xUnit
• Experience using memory management tools such as dotMem and windbg
• Ideally some experience with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3/LESS/SASS
• Ideally some experience with C++ / MFC
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in work experience
• 5+ years of experience in a development role

• Uses computer frequently
