Microsoft Axapta Technical Consultant (7-10 yrs)
a. Leads the Technical Design & Implementation for Large Scale Microsoft Dynamics Axapta ERP Implementation Programs Globally
b. Participates in Conference Room Pilots/Requirements Definition Workshops alongside the Functional Consultant
c. Demonstrates complete thorough understanding of detailed Project Scope and is able to explicitly relate captured requirements to high level requirements defined in the Scope of Work Document
d. Creates, Maintains and provides clear direction on traceability of Project Artifacts to requirements to project scope
e. Participates and contributes to critical customer meetings such as Delivery Health Review, Milestone Review, Milestone Showcase etc.
f. Provides thought leadership during Analysis and Design Phase - Clearly maps Requirements to Product Functionality or Technical Design - Key Deliverables - Technical Design Document (TDD), Solution Blue Print Document, Effort Estimates for Configurations and Customizations (in collaboration with Functional Team), Requirements Traceability Matrix on Visual Studio Team System (VSTS) across Project Deliverables to Requirements to Project Scope
g. Continuously Engages with Functional, Development and Test Teams to ensure every stakeholder has a thorough and detailed understanding of requirements they are addressing - provides clear direction on business use cases, business rules, Technical Design, test scenarios, conflicts between configuration of system vs customizations being performed
h. Able to stand up Complete AX Environment End To End including but not limited to Server Set up (SQL, AOS, AOT), Base Organization and Entity Set up, Import of Master Data and Opening Balances at a minimum
i. Perform all necessary configurations per their definition in the Functional Design
j. Must be able to perform development of complex customizations, write appropriate unit tests and enable delivery of world class quality code
k. Gatekeeper to the Technical Solution Quality - Performs detailed design and code reviews including but not limited to low level design, solution code, unit tests
l. Ensures all Engineering Excellence Metrics as defined by the Statistical Quality Assurance (SQA) Organization are within Organization Mandated thresholds - enables automation in achieving efficiencies and Quality Objectives
m. Demonstrate a clear understanding of domains and business processes within the domain and a complete detailed understanding of Microsoft Dynamics AXAPTA - be informed of future product roadmaps to enable better design decision making for scalability and forward compatibility
n. Demonstrate detailed understanding of Microsoft Dynamics AXAPTA Architectures, including but not limited to effective implementation techniques, customization limitations, and future roadmap so their design is informed of advancements in the Product Stack
o. Demonstrate broader understanding of Product and Technology across Microsoft Product Stack and how various products can work together to achieve niche customer objectives
p. Demonstrate broader understanding of the ERP Market, and specifically positioning of Microsoft Dynamics ERP to ensure the right recommendations are being made to customer
q. Demonstrate clear understanding of Information Architecture, Integrations (from point to point, EAI to EII) to lead discussions on integrations across multiple customer platforms with the Microsoft Dynamics Axapta Implementation
r. Demonstrate clear understanding of third party Microsoft Dynamics Axapta ISV Products such as Site Core, LS Retail etc.
s. Thorough knowledge of business processes at a minimum across HRMS, Supply Chain Management, Lead to Order Process, Order Processing, Production Planning & Control, Production Information Management, Project & Accounting, Finance, Financial Consolidation, Master Planning, Inventory Management, Warehousing & Physical Distribution, Logistics
t. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics Axapta Architecture, Entity & Information Architecture, Microsoft Axapta APIs and Services, Reporting Tools, Microsoft Axapta Utilities, Microsoft Axapta Programming Interfaces like X++ is a must for this role
u. Thorough understanding of Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) and Engineering Excellence Practices, Tools, automation to enable strong Engineering Excellence foundation to Projects
v. Drive and passion to create reusable assets from existing engagements, and be informed of available solution assets to optimize cost and quality
w. Excellent Communication Skills, Customer Facing and Stakeholder Management Skills, Program Management Skills, Executive Presence and Maturity are Mandatory for this role.
