Our client is a leading player in the field of financial services & consulting. The position is for a role in their Audit & Assurance team.

Summary:
Within the Insurance Group, our Internal Audit team specialises in helping the world's leading Insurance companies.
Our services comprise the following:
Internal Audit consulting and advisory, including transformation of Internal Audit functions
Assessments of the effectiveness of Internal Audit functions
Co-source partnerships with Internal Audit functions, deploying E&Y subject matter experts and internal audit specialists to support client teams
Operating full Internal Audit services for clients through Outsourced arrangements
The successful candidates will take-on a portfolio of Internal Audit clients and have the opportunity to become involved in a range of Internal Audit assignments currently provided to the Insurance sector which can include assessments of the quality of clients' Internal Audit work, work to develop Internal Audit function operating models and other technical advice. You will also be expected to assist with the technical and business development initiatives within the team.
Will have a Lead role in execution of client portfolio and be responsible for guiding, supervising, motivating and developing a team of people.

Responsibilities
This role will have responsibility for:
Building and managing Internal Audit teams.
Liaising with our Insurance clients to assess relevant Business and Audit Risks, devise testing programmes, execute testing, draft and agree findings with Client management and draft Internal Audit reports
Managing audit engagements, performing overall Business Risk assessments, devise audit plans, coordinate staffing for audit engagements, and managing all other aspects of client liaison, reporting to a Director or Partner
Conducting Internal Audit work and reviews from start to finish (including preparation, fieldwork and reporting) on behalf of a number of clients to assess efficiency and effectiveness of controls, accuracy of financial records and efficiency of operations, in addition to other potential controls-based Risk Management and Governance projects
Delivering work to the highest technical standards
Recommend improvement of management's controls deigned to safeguard client resources, finance management process, and ensure compliance with governmental laws and regulations and implement best practices and benchmarking.
Requirements
A successful candidate will possess the following:
Experience working in the Internal Audit department of an Insurance organisation, either as part of a Financial Services institution or through long-term secondments whilst working at an Advisory /Business Consulting organisation Experience working in Advisory /Business Consulting, with a proven track record and solid experience of providing services to the Internal Audit department of a financial services organisation, preferably in the Insurance arena
Experience managing senior stakeholders, both within Internal Audit functions and business executives .Experience with, and an understanding of how, IT risks are factored into an Internal Audit approach
Experience of field managing engagements, leading Internal Audit teams and reporting to business management . Knowledge of auditing techniques including Risk Assessment, audit scoping, devising audit approach, controls testing, substantive audit testing including sampling techniques
A broad perspective of potential issues encountered when managing diverse teams and the strategies to overcome them with a clear understanding of the firm's commitment to creating a more inclusive culture
