ZS Associates, a global leader in sales and marketing effectiveness, is looking for a Software Engineering Architect to join our team in Pune Office and build a world-class software organization. You will work closely with software managers, product managers, designers to design and refine the architecture of products used by hundreds of companies and thousands of end users to make critical decisions and manage sales operations. Architects at ZS define the technical vision and work closely with expert teams to make their plans a reality. The Software team at ZS is a casual, collaborative, and smart group with offices in Evanston (Illinois,US) and Pune (India). As a Software Architect you will:
Design robust maintainable software solutions consistent with our company and industry practices; Communicate architecture clearly with business and technical stakeholders
Partner closely with cross-functional leaders (development/product management/stakeholders/ etc.) to ensure a clear understanding of the solution that will be built
Identify, propose and prototype proof of concepts for your solutions. Ensure that the strategy is chosen based on clear understanding of costs and benefits associated with the approach
Review product designs to ensure architectural best practices are followed consistently
Create and collaborate on technical design documentation, including architectural, data-model and integration designs for your application
Work closely with development teams to make sure they understand and are building the architecture you designed
Research industry best practices and techniques and proactively introduce them to the software team
Effectively utilize architectural design patterns as appropriate to improve product
Participate in ongoing code reviews and ensure consistent quality and adherence to internal standards
Participate in user interface design reviews to ensure a correlation between the architecture, back-end implementation and user interface
Participate in developing architectural standards and guidelines for scalability, performance, and internationalization for our entire product line
Know and care about what the customer wants from our service -- and be willing to stand up for it!
Qualifications -
ZS welcomes candidates with strong management and excellent technical experience.
Bachelor's Degree in CS, IT or EE. MS in CS is preferred
Hands-on experience designing architecture for enterprise web applications in a SAAS environment
8-10 years hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies, including .NET development (ASP.NET , C#, XML, SOAP, Web Services, SQL Services) in one or more software companies
4+ years' experience functioning in a lead technical role on large web development projects and 2+Years' experience functioning in a application architect role on enterprise products.
2+ years of exposure to big data technologies (SPARK, SCALA, HADOOP etc.) stack is preferred.
Experience working in agile teams with short release cycles
Knowledge of all phases of software development including design, coding, testing, debugging and support of large scale web based applications
Possess strong verbal, written and team presentation communication skills
This role requires healthy doses of initiative and the ability to remain flexible and responsive in a very dynamic environment
Ability to work in global cross-office teams, including travelling to remote offices as required
ZS is a global firm; fluency in English is required
