Astegic is looking for a Senior Software Engineer / Solutions Architect.
Job Duties
Provides technical direction for systems from definition phase through implementation. Monitors and summarizes progress of project.project.
Experience in architecting technical solutions using open source and COTS platform.
Provides necessary feedback to project stakeholders and communicate technical aspects of systems requirements.
Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in meetings, conference calls, webinars and other forms of communication; collaborate with project management team to align technical activities with project plans, scope and timeframes.scope and timeframes.
Architecting the overall system, by using prototyping and proof of concepts, which may include:
oKnowledge of modern programming languages (e.g., Java, .NET, C#, Node.js) and web frameworks (Knockout JS, Angular JS)
oModern front-end web programming techniques (e.g., HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, RESTful APIs) and frameworks (e.g., Foundation, Twitter Bootstrap, jQuery Mobile)
oRelational databases (e.g., MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL), and knowledge of NoSQL databases (e.g., Cassandra, MongoDB)
oAutomated configuration management (e.g., Jenkins, Jira,GIT), continuous integration/deployment, and continuous monitoring solutions
Use of version control systems, specifically Git and GitHub, MS Team Foundation Server (TFS), Subversion
Code Reviews, merge, resolve conflicts.
Lead teams of Developer, Analysts and QA team to manage the technical aspects of a development project.
Experience with Agile methodology and scope management
Experience with Cloud-based technologies and systems
Experience with leading development of mobile apps for both iOS and Android platforms.
Applies knowledge of industry trends and developments to improve service to our clients.
Development of project plans, determining resources needed to meet requirements.
Ensure proper development and change control process are followed, as well as overseeing requirements, product specifications, code, and other technical project documentation.
Proactively identify and resolve/mitigate risks and issues.
Ensure deliverables provides on-time with high quality.
Partner with outside project teams to identify and resolve any potential dependencies, and coordinate execution of any testing scenarios.
