Job description :-
Position :-
The Software Development manager will lead the evolution of one of CDKs flagship enterprise software suites. This key position will provide broad functional and technical expertise in the design and development efforts, including but not limited to architectural direction; user interface/user experience leadership; development standards and best practices. You will be a highly visible member of the management team and a key thought leader for product development at CDK. You will be responsible for building and managing a thriving and dynamic software development organization. You will have a number of direct reports with all associated administrative management responsibilities. The position may require travel to the US.
Experience :-
- 10+ years of software development and engineering experience. A Masters in Computer Engineering, Computers (MSEE, MSCS, etc.) is a strong plus.
- 5+ years of management experience, delivering at least one commercially successful enterprise class web product, preferably in a SaaS/ASP environment; experience in managing through people.
- 3+ years of experience as an manager for a US based (or equivalent) organization.
- 2+ years managing agile software development. Scrum Master Certification and other agile certification is a strong plus. Agile software development and management experience to include TDD, CI and agile project management tools.
- Proven track record in delivering optimal business returns by prioritizing projects and managing scope while delighting the customers and managing their expectations
-Experience with development and deployment of large database applications
- Ability to solve problems with out of box thinking & approaches, iteratively and incrementally improve both products and processes.
- Demonstrated experience in building world class organizations including hiring and developing great people, managing large teams; Excellent people and project management skills
- Excellent organizational and leadership skills, oral and written communication skills
- Ability to iteratively, incrementally and continuously improve processes and organization.
Must have working knowledge in a majority of the following :-
Technologies :-
Web Services, JavaScript, AngularJS, CSS, MVC, JSON, SOAP/REST, PICK, RDBMS.
Tools :-
nUnit/JUnit, Hibernate/Entity Framework, ESB
Others :-
Design patterns, Performance Tuning, Load Balancing, Web Security.
