Developer/Senior Developer (.net+ Silverlight) required for a reputed firm in Pune ( Viman Nagar- Location)
JOB SUMMARY
To develop and maintain new or improved software products, procedures, and techniques using Microsoft Dot Net Technology.
Responsibilities include providing innovative and cost-effective engineering solutions to meet technical objectives and timing. Senior developer participates in activities to define and implement frameworks and design practices, as well as in knowledge-sharing activities.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
• Develops user interfaces to applications by setting expectations and features priorities throughout development life cycle; completing programming using languages and software products; designing and conducting tests
• Completes applications development by coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities; contributing to team meetings; troubleshooting development and production problems across multiple environments and operating platforms
• Supports users by developing documentation and assistance tools
• Ensure product code and artifacts are managed according to guidelines
• Apply usability procedures and principles
• Develop and execute unit tests to ensure and maintain source code quality
• Provide timely corrective actions on all assigned defects and issues
• Share expertise throughout the organization
• Good Communication skills
• Knowledge on tax domain would be a plus
Required Qualifications
Around 6 â€" 10 Years of experience in application and web development with emphasis on
· UI
o Medium to large Silverlight 5 XAML UI development with proficiency in MVVM concepts
o At least one MVVM framework used in the project (Caliburn Micro preferred)
o Proficiency in Commanding/routing/Actions/Modules
o Knowledge of Inversion of Control using MEF would be plus
o Excellent debugging skills with knowhow on how to debug async calls
· Backend services
o Proficiency working in .net framework 4.0 or later with Generics/Linq/async concepts
o Knowledge of building windows services would be a plus
o ASP.net 4.x with Web API 2.0
o Knowledge of Repository based Data Access pattern would be a plus
o Knowledge of Inversion of Control using Autofac would be plus
o Knowledge of Entity Framework 5.0 or later for data access
· Database
o SQL server 2008 or later
o Good data modeling skills will be a plus
o Design/maintain Tables/Views/Stored Proc with efficient data storage and retrieval
o Knowledge of scaling/fine tuning large databases will be a plus
