Essential Skills and Experience Required:
Applicants should possess a minimum of ten years' experience working in a similar role
developing dynamic .NET applications (including web applications and web services) using the
following technologies:
• Microsoft .Net Framework (.Net 4.6); ASP.NET 3.0 and above, using C#
• Microsoft Visual Studio 2015
• Microsoft ASP.NET MVC and Web API
• Developing using LINQ-to-Objects
• Developing using LINQ-to-SQL or Entity Framework
• Knockout.js and Require.js
• Ability to layout web pages ready for end user
• W3C Web Standards and Accessibility best practice
• HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML
• AJAX, jQuery and other JavaScript frameworks
• Developing .NET Web Services/Windows Communication Foundation
• Relational Database Technologies; Microsoft SQL Server 2008 and above
• Excellent understanding of the full software development lifecycle, including Agile
development methodology.
Additional / Desirable Skills and Experience:
Experience in Financial Services is desirable and experience of any of the following technologies
and software packages would be advantageous:
• Windows server management and maintenance including;
• Internet Information Server (IIS), DNS, SMTP, IMAP, POP, Exchange, SQL Server
• Microsoft Team Foundation Server
