BI QA Lead :
· Lead the quality engineering efforts and hands on lead and coordinate test efforts, and help to improve testing abilities
· Test process, Test approach, level of testing, various test types and test phases
· Understand the quality and constantly strive to achieve quality in all the deliverables
· Subject Matter Expert (SME) on software testing requirements/architecture, testing framework, automation framework, automation tools and technologies with a major focus on Web Technologies, Ux and minor focus on Packaged applications
· Provides leadership in QE for test projects and mentors and advises test engineers on process, architecture and tools
· Partner with Project Managers, Engineers, and Systems Analysts within BI team and across Applications Engineering Group to manage and continually improve the testing function for BI
· Coordinate and lead project testers - both technical and business roles - to execute cases within a test plan, manage defect triage and resolution process, and drive testing to closure
· Define testing for data validation, ETL processes, metadata layer / business model layer, presentation layer (reporting and analytics), and BI applications
· Create and implement the full testing methodology and practice for the BI function
· Create and manage project test plans
· Evaluate and review test case completeness, content, and sequencing
· Define exit / entry criteria for project testing gates (unit, integration, acceptance)
· Maintain requirements traceability matrix and organize the test management for future re-use
· Define and govern test environment management (e.g. Dev, Test, Integration, Production)
· Drive excellence in data quality measurement across BI solutions
· Creating and archiving testing artifact repository
· Participate in solution and feature design reviews to evaluate and shape solutions designs to improve probability of achieving successful solution delivery outcomes and ongoing BI service performance
