Job Description:
Design and Develop high performance, user-friendly web applications used by higher education students and faculty globally.
Interact with customers and development team to gather and define requirements.
Analyze customer requirements to determine the most effective solution.
Use state of the art frontend technologies like HTML/CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, and jQuery to develop highly available applications that interface with REST and/or SOAP based APIs (Not Mandate).
Write effective unit tests and integration tests to ensure high quality software delivery.
Participate in design sessions to define the contract between UI and the middle layer web services.
Be an effective contributor to AccelerEd Agile teams to produce consistent, quality deliverables.
Collaborate on effective development practices share across teams.
Design and develop scripted deployment processes.
Continually evaluate emerging frameworks and technologies to identify opportunities, trends and best practices that strengthen product development.
Required Skills/Experience:
Expert knowledge of JavaScript
Experience writing highly performant, reusable code for the modern frontend
Expert level understanding of modern Javascript frameworks (ReactJs, Angular, Backbone, etc.)
5+ years’ work experience developing complex software applications.
5+ years’ experience with front-end web development. (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript)
Deliver products on time in an agile and continuous development environment.
Develop cross-platform software that runs on a variety of browsers and environments
Excellent communication skills;
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. May substitute equivalent combination of education and experience.
