Responsibilities:
Leading highly talented technology teams responsible for building and owning complex products.
Take raw product requirements and create software architecture and designs to bring them to life.
Develop and maintain a culture of innovation and operational efficiency in the team.
Hiring, growing and retaining a strong team specifically mentor and grow Software developers to take on increasingly higher responsibilities.
Work successfully with teams across the organization, including engineering, product management, project management, quality assurance, and senior leadership.
Influence, collaborate and communicate effectively with various leaders within company.
Skills Required:
The ideal candidate is a business and tech-savvy, with a proven track record of managing and delivering product releases on time and within budget.
Must be capable of independent full systems design, including requirements gathering, specifications, and coding. This role requires you to be hands-on.
A record of hiring of strong technical team members and leaders.
Must demonstrate proactive technical leadership, strong verbal and written communication skills, and a proven ability to multi-task and manage stress effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Exceptional skill in technical communication with peers and non-technical cohorts.
Experience in delivering products/services in a high-growth environment (including start-ups)
You will have experience in solving technical issues on performance, scalability and system architecture.
Can play a technical leadership role for complete product cycles and have experience in influencing other teams internally and externally.
A BS or MS degree in Computer Science is required with 10+ years hands-on software development experience with Java stack and C/C++.
2+ years software team leadership (people management) experience and handling a minimum of 5 (plus strong member) engineering team.
Architect and develop large-scale, web-based, distributed systems using Java/J2EE that is developed in Continuous Integration/Delivery environment.
Strong Java/J2EE, Web technologies, MYSQL and Relational Databases (ideally MYSQL), Spring, Distributed systems, Cloud computing, Web Services SOAP & REST.
Experience in NOSQL databases like Cassandra, Redis
Experience with Queuing systems like Apache Active MQ, Rabbit MQ
Experience with Microservices, SOA, Spring, Spring Boot, Docker.
Experience with Elasticsearch, Logstash and Kibana (ELK) stack for Analytics
Experience in AWS is desirable
Proficiency with the tools of the trade, including a variety of modern programming languages and familiarity with emerging open-source technologies.
