Brief about this role: This role is ahigh visibility (upto to CXOs & investors), leadership andprimarily individual contributor (may have reporting of 1 or 2 Lead Software designers or DB Expert) role responsible to own and drive end-to-end product/solution architecture and detailed design. Work closely with Product Managers, Engineering Managers &Developers, QA Team, BI & Data Analytics team. This role will be a part of larger engineering group reporting into CPO/CTO.
Responsibilities:
1. Sole ownership of complete architecture and performance of the product. This ownership includes
a. Database design
b. Backend Web application architecture based on SOA
c. Seamless integration with 3rd party platforms like payment gateways, wallets, Google, Facebook, insurance company’s technology platforms.
d. Frontend-backend Web API integration, response time, reliability and scalability
e. High performance, configurable,scalable, reliable, robust end-to-end working of the product
f. Directly own the responsibility of performance and scalability testing (with the help of QA team) of products on regular basis.
g. Important consideration for customer experience, flexibility and seamlessness while deciding Solution/Architecture
2. Achieve scale of up to 5 million visitors per day
3. Critical responsibility to achieve the data integrity of all data points recorded, stored and calculated in the product& database. Work closely with BI and Data Analytics team members to understand various data-points and identify and resolve any kind of data issues with best scalable and reliable solution.
4. Work very closely with Engineering team members like Engineering Managers, Team leaders, Developers/Sr. Developers to monitor and review implementation of correct architecture, design and APIs
5. Get into details of low-level design, coding (code structure/logic, classes, packages, configuration), APIs structure/parameters etc to assess and resolve architecture/design issues
6. Take utmost interest and initiatives in resolving newly identified business problems with right solution and product functioning.
7. Work closely with product managers, business/sales managers and partners/customers to have clear understanding of how product is performing and what needs to be done. Provide substantial technology and functional direction to Product Managers on regular basis to aid in better evolution of product.
8. Establish and drive best architecture, design and coding practices within engineering team. Contribute at company level to establish best practices to improve quality of products.
9. Maintain highly positive attitude and conducive working relationship with peers
10. Always keep himself/herself updated about technology advancements, new trends. Share the knowledge with team members and peers regularly.
Requirements:
Requirements Skill Type Proficiency level
10-20 Years of experience in Software Development with minimum last 3 years’ experience in internet product/solutionarchitect role
And overall at least 8 years of software design, coding and testing experience as a developer Functional Expert
Experience of owning complete end-to-end internet product architecture including front-end, Mobile Apps, back-end & database with sizeable scale of at least 1 million unique visitors/transactions in a month Functional Expert
Hands-on experience of architecture/solution, detailed design, high-quality coding and Unit, Module and performance testing skills Functional Expert
Experience of interfacing with internal stakeholders like Product Managers, Business/Sales Team and external technology and business partners Functional Expert
Experience of Agile development methodology and continuous software development lifecycle processes Functional Expert
Microsoft technologies -ASP.NET, MVC, C#, WCF, Restful Web API, JSON/XML, SQL Server Technology Expert
Front-endrelated technologies â€"Angular JS (& other similar frameworks), JavaScript, jQuery, HTML5, CSS Technology Expert
Experience of OOPS concepts, Data structures, Design patterns, algorithms etc Technology Expert
Proficient in database schema (SPs/triggers) design, development and optimization with RDBMS database Technology Expert
Experience of using 3rd party APIs like Payment Gateways, Wallets, Google APIs, Facebook APIs etc Technology Expert

Education:
B’Tech/BE/MCA/MTech Degree from a reputed university
