Job Description
I. Adhere to schedule, effort and quality KPI of every task handled
II. Own a user story from creation to release.
III. Hands-on involve in all the various phases of software engineering such as analysis, design, coding, testing, implementation and maintenance.
IV. Demonstrate improved productivity
V. Contribute pro-actively to continuous improvement.
VI. Review and validate system specification completeness as per Product/Customer needs.
VII. Identify regression scenarios for functionality changes.
VIII. Create design models (Class diagram, data model, etc) for medium to high complex modules adhering to design standards and guidelines
IX. Assist and guide others in the engineering team to follow the Coding standards and guidelines.
X. Conduct code review for all modules.
XI. Handle coding for framework developments, Implement coding best practices.
XII. Review unit test cases to make sure that it meets the agreed code coverage percentage set for the product/project.
XIII. Create/Update the traceability matrix to link the requirements to design to code.
XIV. Perform functional and integration testing for modules of ownership.
XV. Manage relationship with all stake-holders and support the Team Management in enacting proactive steps to ensure stake-holder satisfaction.
XVI. Demonstrate good understanding of the business and technology details of the product in order to bring quality improvements.
XVII. Resolve issues escalated by other team members, and escalate any open issues to team management by following the procedures documented in the project plan.
Skills
I. Knowledge and experience in design & development using Java, JDBC, Hibernate, MyBatis, JSP, Spring, Spring MVC, Spring Web Flow, CSF Web Service, JavaScript, JQuery, AngularJS, HTML5 Canvas API, Tomcat, JBoss, Oracle
II. Involved in any Rules Engines development & implementation
III. Knowledge and experience in Travel industry domain is desirable
IV. Hands-on experience using tools & libraries such as Sonar, Jenkins, Artifactory, Maven, JUnit, Checkstyle, PMD, Findbugs is a big plus.
Experience
I. 9 to 12 years of overall industry experience handling Software development including coding, writing unit test cases, and generating unit test reports, systems architecture and design.
II. Must have a complete understanding of the design and architecture of a small product or project in which contributed.
III. Participation in creation of design models, code reviews and customer meetings/workshops will be an advantage.
IV. Expertise on application framework and architecture design.
V. Good knowledge of different architecture models and an understanding about the pros and cons of each.
VI. Clear understanding of architecture constraints and solutions.
VII. Knowledge of NFR test planning and execution is a definite plus.
VIII. Good to have expertise in application server administration and experience in conducting technology / tool evaluation.
