C. Roles
Role : Software Experts / Principal Software Engineer
D. Responsibilities
* Contribute to define software architecture/design by proposing efficient solutions
* Challenge technical decisions, web services designs and provide inputs for improvement
* Provide performance and efficient code (tested and documented)
* Fix issues that arise from testing/customers
* Create or update all the relevant and required technical documents (design, architecture, etc.)
* Follow quality development rules and recommendations (unitary test, change management, build management, Software factory...)
* Perform peer code reviews and suggest improvements
* Work in Agile, TDD and BDD
* Collaborate and work closely with R/D in Nagra Headquarter at Cheseaux, Switzerland or Cwmbran, UK.
E. Minimum Skills Required
* Bachelor degree / Master degree in technology or Computer science
* Hands on experience in Product Server side (In the area of IPTV/Cable TV), module architecture, design and requirement analysis.
* Hard core developers who can write performance based quality code and drive code review.
* Technical in depth experience on open source technologies such as Jenkins Jobs, Ibatis/Hibernate, Spring framework, ESB, OSGi framework, Python, SOA, NoSQL DB - MongoDB, Java, JEE(Java Enterprise Edition), SQL, Relational DBs (Oracle), web services(SOAP and RESTful), Maven/ANT/GRADEL, Linux shell programming, Fore Man UI, BIRT Reporting.
* MUST have experience in Scrum/Agile SDLC
* Good in verbal and written communication
* Value Add - Domain knowledge in IPTV/OTT/STB
F. Preferred Skills
* Mandatory Skills : Core Java, Collections, Concurrency, Multithreading, Design patterns, Oracle (SQL, PL/SQL), Spring, Ibatis/Hibernate/Top link
* Prior experience of working in scrum team with key stakeholders like Product Owner and Architects
* Prior experience in large and complex product development
* Ability to converse and discuss different designs and architectures for his/her familiar development environment
* Familiar with Linux environment with shell scripting, rpm packages
G. Qualification
* Bachelor of Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) in Computer Science or equivalent
* Relevant Software development experience of 10-15 years
* Techno Savvy up to date with latest technologies having OOPS, OODA, Algorithms and Data Structure experience
* The candidate will be asked to develop code prior to interview
* Value add - Contribution to open source community
