Skills:
Experience required (10 years plus):
Experience of working in a change controlled, high pressure environment
Experience or understanding of multiple programming languages and systems.
Proficient in application integration
Experience of administration and configuration of Linux and Windows.
Experience of Wintel and Linux hardware from component level.
Good understanding of Big Data concept and technologies, specifically Hadoop/Spark
Knowledge of a major programming language (C/C++/Java/J2EE/AngularJS), Network Programming (sockets/RPC) and HTML5
Knowledge of multi-processing and multi-threading, eCommerce / portal design elements
Understanding Active/Active, Recovery methodologies at Disk and DB layers
Application, Middleware and Web services such as WebSphere, Weblogic, Tomcat, XML and SOAP
Experience of remotely loading tools, applications e.g. Tivoli, ESM, Tideway, Keon
Experience working with SAN, NAS and NetBackup.
Experience working in a complex distributed technical environment
Experience of designing and implementing corporate solutions.
Good understanding of UAT, production change activity and business continuity testing
Experience preferred:
Technical degree or commensurate experience
UNIX family certifications, MCSE and VMWare
