In this position you will provide scalability, high availability, migration and consolidation expertise on the Microsoft SQL Server platform. You will be a self-starter with strong leadership, professionalism and responsible qualities. In this position you should have the ability to work well with aggressive deadlines and minimal supervision. Design, write and deliver class content and presentations for workshops, seminars, web casts and conferences. Serve as a recognized expert in the SQL Server community by contributing to newsgroups, blogs, trade magazines, user groups and community web sites.
Key Duties And Responsibilities:
Work with Fortune 1000 clients performing scalability, high availability, migration and consolidation consulting on the Microsoft SQL Server platform as a Senior Database Consultant.
Design and implement robust database administration solutions including resource management, security, backup and recovery, performance monitoring and tuning, data management and capacity planning, planning, and implementing failover between database instances.
Design and implement scripts for instance monitoring, maintenance, backup, cloning, etc. utilizing T-SQL, SSIS, Reporting Services and Analysis Services.
Educational Qualification and Experience :
The ideal candidate should have at least 7 years of enterprise database development experience in Microsoft SQL Server.
Good exposure in SQL Server 2005/2008/2012/2014 database administration and development.
Solid T-SQL development skills and experience
Solid T-SQL performance tuning experience with Profiler, Indexing Wizard, and execution plan analysis
Excellent design and development experience with SQL objects for high-performing database batch processes
Excellent database design experience for transactional and reporting applications
Excellent knowledge of indexing strategies and indexing types
Excellent knowledge of primary/foreign key relationships
Advanced DMV knowledge
Solid understanding of delivery of work estimates for proposed changes, both small and large in scope
Solid experience as a SQL Server 2008/12/14 developer
Development experience in team environment with mid to high-end projects from inception through delivery with competency in most of the following areas
Logical and physical database design experience
SQL Server 2008/12/14 RDBMS database development including T-SQL programming
Client facing and thinking strategically from clients perspective to deploy correct solutions
