Experience: With a minimum of 6 to 8 years of experience in IT industry in respective field of work.
Education Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree in computer science preferred; or equivalent combination of education and training.
PURPOSE
Under general direction devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Designs, codes, tests, debugs, and documents those programs. Competent to work at the highest technical level of all phases of applications systems analysis and programming activities. May be responsible for completion of a phase of a project. Regularly provides guidance and training to less-experienced engineers. Leads and manages a track/module in the project by contribution in development/validation covering all life cycle phases.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Estimates the magnitude and time requirements to complete small tasks such as bug fixes, minor enhancements, etc.
• Provides accurate and timely updates to project manager and/or team lead on progress.
• Writes designs, code, tests for tracks/modules in projects under minimal supervision.
• Works with the documentation team to assure new functionality is properly documented.
• Support to troubleshooting problems, providing workarounds and producing patches for customers as required.
• Creates the design specification, deployment plans, system manual and other technical documents for respective modules/tracks.
• Ensure on time, high quality deliverables and meeting project milestones and deadlines within budget with minimal supervision.
• Assists and mentors other team members in the business application, development technologies or Software.
• Development Lifecycle processes (such as reviewing, designing and testing).
• Participates in peer review of work products such as code, designs, and test plans produced by other team members.
• All responsibilities are essential job functions unless noted as nonessential (N).
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Proficiency in one or more of the following: J2EE Technologies, Angular.JS, React.JS, ADF, RDBMS system, (Oracle, SQL Server).
• Familiarity with one of more of the following SQL, PL/SQL, TSQL, Cognos, Informatica, SharePoint, Eclipse, Ant, JSP/Servlets, JDBC, JavaScript, Apache, Tomcat and test driven development using JUNIT and XML is desirable.
• Possess good written and oral communication skills.
• System Lifecycle Methodology experience with Computer Systems Validation preferred.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new environments.
• Self-driven and motivated software developer that takes pride in the development of high quality, on time, within budget projects.
• Familiarity with SCRUM agile development methodology is desirable.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Extensive use of keyboard and mouse requiring repetitive motion of fingers and wrists.
• Regular sitting for extended periods of time.
