Responsibilities
Migration of data from current DB to new DB.
Works with end-users gathering and refining requirements, creating the usual project deliverables - FSDs, design specs, requirements traceability matrices, test plans.
Works with diverse group of developers, business subject matter experts, project management with assertiveness and tact.
Contributes to the application design
Writes code to specification and compliant to standards.
Ability to write, execute, and document test plans.
Ability to do the reviews and follow the process methodologies and documentation
Report status to Technical Lead / Technology Manager
Market Skills and CertificationsEssential Qualifications
Bachelor's/Masters degree in Computer Science or equivalent
8+ yrs of strong hands-on IT experience in backend technologies like Java, Oracle, Unix, SQL
Experience in data migration between databases using Java programs.
Exposure to Job scheduling tools like Autosys.
Database Entity Relationship Modelling experience
Experience in writing batch programs
Experience in SQL Performance tuning
Well versed with database modelling concepts
Should have exposure to DEVOPS tools like GIThub, Jenkins, Maven/Gradle and UDeploy.
Experience in working in Agile methodology.
Good verbal and written communication skills
Good problem solving and analytical skills
Should be detail oriented, able to multi task
Demonstrated ability to learn the business quickly.
Independent and Self-starter. Team player.
