Skills Required:
We Need SQL Server Performance Engineer
Should be able to write complex Queries and understand/optimize the same
Should have expertise in understanding and tuning performance issues, blockers
Should be able to work independently with customers and provide Perf related fixes on real time basis
Should be full time perf engineer rather than part time [when I say part time, I'm not expecting Perf tuning being part of their job. It should be their everyday job]
Should understand working with different tools in SQL for identifying and fixing the perf related issues, like Profilers, Query Store, Extended Events etc.
Should have knowledge in using Fragmentation, Statistics, Plan Guides etc. and make decisions on using at times
Having SQL Azure is an added advantage
