Project Manager
The IT project manager (PM) is responsible for establishing and leading medium-to-large sized systems projects of moderate-to-high complexity and ensures project results contribute positive business value and meet agreed on scope, cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
PM lead a variety of different types of projects including launching new products and services, large-scale application development, systems integration, operational efficiency improvements, process reengineering, and infrastructure setups, upgrades and deployments.
Defines project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders
Directs large-scale, complex projects often involving multiple internal and external constituents and matrix partners
Directly manages all aspects of the project lifecycle and works with matrix IT partners to oversee all SDLC phases of a project
Rigorously manages scope to ensure commitments are achieved within agreed on time, cost, and quality parameters
Develops the project charter, integrated project plan, resource plan, contingency plan, and related project management artifacts
Facilitates collaboration across multiple functions, departments, and levels and serves as a role model for teamwork
Ensures asset and inventory management including checks/audits are in line with global standards and processes
Identifies Risks, Assumptions, Issues and Dependencies (RAIDs), and ensures proper action plans are setup to control and manage it
Defines and tracks project milestones while developing, maintaining, and reporting on an overall integrated delivery plan
Develops the project charter, integrated project plan, resource plan, contingency plan, and related project management artifacts
Proposes recommendations and adjustments and publishes periodic project status reports
Requirements:
7-8 years of experience working with technical applications and/or information systems, or equivalent, including five years in managing information technology and infrastructure projects, or equivalent
At least three years of project manager experience preferred with hands-on experience on applications and infrastructure activities.
Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
Strong planning, organizational, and leadership skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to make effective presentations and communicate technical concepts to non-technical clients
Extensive knowledge of project management processes, systems development methods, organizational change management concepts, and business process improvement methods
In-depth knowledge of project planning techniques and automated project planning tools required
Ability to work in a team environment
Exemplary core project management skills including multiple aspects of the PMBOK
