Role Purpose As a Markets Execution eTrading Developer within Barclays, you will design and develop business solutions to enhance our electronic trading offerings and drive client business flows. The role holder will report directly to the AETT Pune Lead and will collaborate with a global development team to facilitate electronic trading across various execution venues in line with Business and Technology requirements. Key Accountabilities • Hands on technical design and development of high quality, globally available and sustainable solutions. • Cross-regional Level 3 support of the Production estate and capacity, performance and resiliency initiatives. • Agile collaboration with teams in Europe and Asia to maintain a global offering consistent with regional business requirements and standards. • Contribute to conformance with regulatory and market structural change, as well as compliance and control standards. • Strategic Platform and Processing; follow common design and implementation practices and reuse of technology in line with agreed strategic objectives. Basic Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or quantitative discipline • Experience as a developer of real-time solutions for electronic trading in FX, Commodities, Rates or Credit markets • Strong experience with the following applied technologies is required: • Core Java • JMS, Solace, MQ or other enterprise messaging middleware Preferred Qualifications • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills • Excellent analytical and decision making skills • Ability to multi-task and collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders • Results-oriented, delivery-driven individual requiring minimal guidance • Good understanding of software development life cycle methodologies.
