Purpose of Role:
The "Senior NET / Applications Developer " will own complex development tasks for software applications and to work throughout all phases the entire dunnhumby software development methodology - Agile for dunnhumby.
The role will enable dunnhumby growth as part of a team building shared products/platforms and applications that under pin driving solutions for
retailers and manufacturers that build solutions for their customers.
Responsibilities:
Lead advanced and highly complex software design and development in
primary technologies - primary focus will be Oracle, .NET, HTML5 UI - within
assigned agile project teams.
Perform unit and Integration testing of software stories and modules on the
most complex projects.
Lead peer reviews and code walkthroughs - mentoring more junior team
members in these processes.
Perform complex defect resolution during all testing phases including user
acceptance testing.
Participate and provide in retrospective reviews after product release and
provide support and participate in the estimation process for new work packages and releases.
Participate in key initiatives as assigned to implement best practices in
development and testing.
Delivery Data, Product Development, and Product Management to share best
practices.
Be responsible for and own the timely communication of issues and status to
the relevant technical lead relating to development activities.
Collaboration and sharing of best practice across the various communities.
Technical Skills:
Microsoft development stack: .NET, WebAPI, Visual Studio
Single Page Application technology UI - Ajax or associated frameworks
Oracle application database
