Job Description â€" Senior Java Developer â€" CST Finance& Risk
Overview
This role requires experienced Java developers, ideally (but not required) with knowledge of end to end process life cycle management of operational risk. Other knowledge in GRC (Governance, Risk & Control) area is highly appreciated. Working as part of a regional team these positions are for places within our Hyderabad office although some overseas travel will be required.
Key Responsibilities
• Responsible for developing application using Java Programming language, JavsScript& related technologies,
• Responsible for executing software development from conceptual phase to deployment phase.
• Actively take part in testing under CST testing platform, including develop automated testing scripts
• Working with vendors and business analyst and End Users within organization.
• Responsible for mentoring junior developers.
• Supporting production deployment process, which is normally at mid-night or weekend.
Essential Skills & Prerequisites
• A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• 8+ years of software development experience
• 3+ years of experience in Core Java 6 or above
• 3+ years hands on Java Multi Threading, distributed architectures in a professional experience
• Fundamental knowledge of distributed Architectures& SOA
• Source Code control (experience with SVN)
• Integrated Development Environment (Eclipse Preferred)
• Knowledge or skills in DevOps, capacity design, data modelling etc.
• Strong experience in agile methodologies and test driven development.
• Good working knowledge of Linux.
• Experience with some of the following:
o Angular JS/2
o Spring Framework
o SQL in RDBMS such as MariaDB, Oracle, Postgress, Greenplum, etc.
o Json/Bson/Protobuf
o AMQP (Rabbit MQ)
o Cloud Foundry
o Docker
o Activiti
o Automated testing (Selenium, UFT or equivalent)
• Must be a team player
Desired
• A Bachelor’s degree or higher preferably in Computer Science or IT.
• Additional experience on developing service based application
• Excellent analytical skills; Proficient in MS Office and able to produce board-level documentation
• Proven track record of participating in the delivery of risk solutions
• Fluency in written and spoken English; Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-starter who sets and meets challenging personal targets; Detailed person, with a big picture outlook
• Understanding of current technologies employed by Tier 1 Investment Banking Institutions
