Overview on Wealth Management & the PAG
Wealth Management and Investment Management Technology (WMIMT) is responsible for the design, development, delivery, and support of the technical platform behind the products and services used by the Business.
Company's Wealth Management (WM) is a product of the acquisition of Smith Barney from Citigroup, which was completed in June 13. Its core client base is individual investors, small- to medium-size businesses and institutions, and high net worth families and individuals.
In the second half of 14, WM reached a milestone, with its business having surpassed $2 trillion in total client assets.
The Practice Area Group (PAG) that owns this position is known as Field and Client Technology (FACT). This subdivision is responsible for providing technology solutions wealth and investment management's branch management financial advisors & their clients including but not limited to: the Advisor desktop, Account opening, Performance reporting, and MS Online
As part of a platform transformation initiative (PTI), we are extending our 3D platform to build Desktop 2.0. We have an existing 3D platform and we are creating a new desktop 2.0 platform so we need resources develop and support current platform for BAU activities and at the same to build the new platform. We are building new capabilities and also extending some of the current capabilities to support the target state architecture. We are putting lot of investment in architecture, design and some of the best practices in coding to ensure we deliver high quality products and want to make sure we retain the knowledge and experience. We are adding lot of new capabilities to improve user experience and productivity. As we are investing a lot to build our future platform it is important to invest on our resources that will have knowledgebase and experience. The desktop application developer will be responsible for development of the new desktop platform as part of a multiyear initiative.
