Microsoft IT India (MSIT India) - located in Hyderabad - is the largest IT operations center outside of Microsoft headquarters in Redmond. It is the offshore arm of the Microsoft IT Engineering Divisions, which employs a host of niche technologies towards developing mission-critical business applications for Microsoft Corporation.
The Discovery & Collaboration (DisCo) - Engineering is a global team in Microsoft IT providing platforms dedicated to increasing the productivity and impact of Microsoft employees. In doing this we also help our external customers get the benefit of cloud productivity platforms and services. Our service portfolio aims to support reinventing productivity and business processes, simplify the employee experience, create showcases of Microsoft experiences for external customers & drive adoption of the intelligent cloud and personal computing.
The primary focus of this role is to help transform how you work together to drive competitive advantage through collaboration leveraging Sharepoint V.Next. By connecting people, improving content and optimizing processes â€" in addition to making it easier to find the right people and right content right when you need it â€" to add value to the organization. They will work with the DisCo program teams, other MSIT BPUs, the First and Best team, product groups, and ISRM to drive a strategy, POR, and discrete deliverables that help teams accelerate the delivery of world class modern experiences.
Job Responsibilities
- Ability to execute projects using the Agile development methodology.
- Make effective decisions in a dynamic environment and in ambiguous situations
- Communicate clearly, concisely, and credibly within various levels of the organization
- Gathering and managing cross-team requirements from customers, functional and virtual teams
- Provides status updates and other critical information to cross functional project members/and or staff members, senior management, clients, and customers
- Technical curiosity and aptitude to quickly understand service capabilities, technical landscape
- Importantly having technical depth on following areas
• Sharepoint On-premise & Office 365
• Experience with Sharepoint Search, Site Management, Configuration Management, Sharepoint App Model.
• C#, .Net, MVC & MVVM design patterns
• Security: Integrating Federated Identity ADFS, AAD, oAuth (Facebook, LiveID, etc.) into the above apps.
• Experience building Software/Services [WCF, REST and SOAP] for Enterprise-Scale.
• Data: Experience with SQL, Big-Data [Hadoop], Cosmos, BI/Analytics [Power-BI] is preferred.
• Cloud: Experience working with Azure WebRole, Azure VM and Azure Service Bus is a plus.
• Exposure to competitive technologies like AngularJS, Cordova, ReactJS and UWP is a plus.
- Work and collaborate well with multiple groups
Qualifications:
- Degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field or 10 -15 years of related work experience
- Experience working in Agile Development Methodologies.
- Experience with Sharepoint On-premise & O365 platform
- Experience with enterprise software development
- Experience delivering projects/products to market is preferred
- Experience writing functional and HLD is required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are required
- Must have the ability and self-confidence to make strategic and tactical decisions with minimal or no supervision
