Basic Qualifications *BS degree in Computer Science and 5+ years of industry experience developing large scale distributed software systems *Extensive experience programming in OO language (Java, C++, C#) and design patterns *Developing high traffic customer facing applications *Strong knowledge of data structures, and designing for performance, scalability, and availability *Knowledge in SQL, XML, and Web services Preferred Qualifications *Proficiency in Front-end Web Development Languages is a big plus. *Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations *Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive *Demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in a highly innovative and fast-paced environment. *Experience in mentoring and driving junior developers in the team to a collective objective. *Ability to communicate the ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences. *Interface with business teams and convert their business requirements to technical requirements.
