JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in Software development efforts associated with engineering products. Individual must have the ability to read and understand system requirements, formulate a software design approach based on those requirements, develop software aligned with defined coding standards & unit test the software. The selected candidate is expected to have a background in developing products, system interaction, migrating legacy existing applications to cloud and troubleshooting and will be involved in all aspects of the system software development process (concept, design, development, validation and production) and deployment process. There will be frequent interaction with project management both locally and overseas and need to work with customers at global locations across different time zones.
EDUCATION PREFERRED:
Degree in Engineering / Master in Computer Applications
EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:
Minimum 8+ years software development experience in product based company required as below:
Essential Competencies:
oStrong technical knowledge in relevant area of expertise- Cloud, Azure, ASP.Net, C#
oStrong technical knowledge of SQL2008/2012 database programming
o1+ years of experience in cloud applications development. Proven experience in migrating large SQL Server databases and applications and hosting them in Cloud
oStrong in applying technical skills for analysis, design and implementation
oPassionate to learn newer trends and technologies and should be strong in adapting the tools for the same
Desirable Competencies:
oAble to architect changes to multiple components of a complex system
oBasic understanding/Exposure to multi-tier web systems
oWorking knowledge on HTML 5, WCF, WPF
oGood debugging skills for troubleshooting memory and performance issues
oCan make coherent detailed technical presentations to peers and management

oInnovation driven
oUnderstanding of the entire software development process
oStrong English communication skills - oral and written
oAbility to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment
oAbility to quickly learn new concepts and software is necessary
