NVIDIA is looking for a Senior Visual Designer to work with our User Experience team on our customer facing products. The job of a Visual Designer is to envision how people experience our products and bring that vision to life in a way that feels inspired and true to our brand. Visual Designers work together with UX designers and stakeholders to craft stories and bring them to life through design, typography and layout. In a Visual design role you'll take on complex tasks and transform them into intuitive, refined and magical experiences for millions of our customers around the world-ranging from novice to sophisticated users. Achieving this goal requires that you collaborate closely with teams of Designers, Researchers, Engineers and Product Managers throughout the design process.
Responsibilities
* Design one or more of NVIDIA's consumer facing products.
* Collaborating with the Creative Lead, UX Designer, User Researcher, and Product Manager to concept new briefs
* Create a look consistent with all of NVIDIA and is inline with brand guidelines - while pleasing our users.
* Communicate effectively in a cross-functional product development team and present ideas and concepts effectively.
* Present the user interface visually so information is easy to read, easy to understand and easy to find.
* Market and promote products and features so users understand what they're getting and what the benefits are.
* Provide Visual Design specifications for engineering and design teams
Requirements
* 10+ years of Visual Design experience within a creative agency or a product company
* Experience working in an environment with multiple stakeholders
* Prior experience working with an onsite team of UX and Visual Designers
* Advanced knowledge of the Adobe creative suite
* Ability to both work autonomously and as part of a team
* Portfolio that showcases strong sense of layout design, visual hierarchy, use of color and typography across platforms (online, screen, mobile)
Minimum Qualification
Four year degree (Fine or Graphic Arts degree encouraged ) OR BA/BS degree in Design (e.g. interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), HCI, CS, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred qualifications
* Experience designing outstanding web-based products for a consumer-oriented website.
* Excellent CSS skills for visual design.
* Solid knowledge of Adobe design suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash)
* Proven ability to act as a leader in communicating conceptual ideas and design rationale, all within a user-centered design process.
* Must be self-motivated to prioritize and manage workload and meet critical project milestones and deadlines.
* Excellent problem-solving skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build good working relationships.
