JOB DESCRIPTION :
In this IT Architect Consultant role, you will be responsible for the development, communication and implementation of the organization's technology architecture and applications plan, including the components required to support it and in the integration of corporate and business architecture and applications.
Primary responsibilities:
* You will collaborate with the business to understand/influence business requirements
* You will demonstrate understanding of cross-functional/cross-domain requirements and impact
* You will maintain knowledge of current and emerging technologies/products/trends related to architectural solutions
* You will ensure alignment of solutions with business and IT goals/objectives
* You will identify and quantify scope and impact of business changes on systems
* You will facilitate/lead/participate in identification of solution options and features
* You will communicate solution options to business owners/stakeholders (e.g. architecture reviews)
* You will incorporate software and system architecture (e.g. infrastructure, network) into conceptual designs
* You will ensure alignment with enterprise technology standards (e.g. solution patterns, application frameworks, technology roadmaps, capital plans)
* You will identify gaps between established standards and proposed solutions, and follow the exception/waiver process as needed
* You will maintain awareness of current technology assets and the capability of each
* You will understand and adhere to architecture Governance framework
* You will deliver all project deliverables on scope, on time and on budget
The IT Architecture Consultant requires technical skills that are both broad and deep. To be effective the Sr. DevOps Engineer should:
* be comfortable with complex heterogeneous systems.
* be highly skilled with a variety of hardware platforms including mainframes, distributed platforms, desktops, and mobile devices.
* possess a strong understanding of software technologies including Java and .NET.
* be a highly seasoned senior technologist who has led multiple projects through complex build processes or an application's Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and has usually performed in a variety of solution delivery roles.
* have an ability to share and communicate ideas both orally and in writing to executive staff, business sponsors, and technical resources in clear concise language according to the needs of each group.
The It Architecture Consultant is assigned to a project at the time of inception; and will remain involved throughout the balance of the SDLC and into the ongoing roadmap of an application or service.
Required Qualifications:
* Undergraduate degree
* 6 years of experience in IT Solution Delivery and architecture
* 6 years of full-lifecycle application development experience
* 6 years experience in building multi-tier applications using (applicable skill set here such as Java or .NET, this will vary)
* Agile development experience
* Deep understanding of industry patterns for application architecture and integration
Preferred Qualifications:
* Health care industry experience
* Team leadership or team management experience
* Experience prototyping and performance tuning applications deployed across multiple operating systems, languages and computing platforms
