Reports to: Senior Delivery Manager
Educational Qualification & Experience:
A Bachelors or Master's degree in computer science or related subject is required. Between 6-8 years of prior Information Technology experience out of which a minimum of 4 years should be as a role of Senior Software Engineer where majority of work included developing on Microsoft technologies using VB.Net, C#, SQL Server Programing and Reporting.
Job Summary:
The job requires the associate to develop code, unit test and deliver work products of quality and meeting deadlines. Understand requirements as specified by the Customers/Clients and propose improvements. Propose improvement to the Application and have capability to participate in application Design and Architecture definition.
Skillset Requirement:
• Development experience utilizing Microsoft client server based Technologies that includes but is not limited to developing Windows Forms applications and Web services.
• Reports development utilizing SSRS having high proficiency.
• Strong ability to write Stored Procedure utilizing SQL is mandatory.
• Exposure to SSAS and SSIS are highly preferable.
• Having knowledge in WPF & MVVM is an added advantage.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Application design, develop and maintenance throughout the development life cycle to include: low-level design, prototyping, testing, implementation, maintenance and system documentation
• Code and unit test, code review.
• Create and maintain up-to-date system documentation for systems responsible; including high level and detail design, unit test plans, system specific standards and installation instructions
• Maintain timeliness of deliverables
• Timely Escalation / Status updates / Reporting
• Problem solving , Ability to work out solutions independently
• Responsible for assuring system developments or enhancements have been adequately tested prior to release to test environment
• Design database schemas for enhancements and new requirements
• Responsible for system Performance and Tuning
• Assist with preparation of rollout documentation in preparation for system releases to test and production
• Source Control Management for all object-oriented source code utilizing Visual Source Safe
• Participate in code walk through
• Ensure that the Company IS standards and methodologies are adhered to, including posting appropriate documentation on the IS Intranet
• Perform adequate Research and Development to ensure technologies and solutions are optimum approaches.
• Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware, or to improve its performance.
• Successful delivery of high quality software deliverables (requirements, design, code, documentation, etc.)
• Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation.
• Communicate the decision and the logic behind the decision
• Ability to lead and mentor junior associates.
• Deep technical understanding and extraordinary passion for growing and applying technical skills in service to customers
